Yesterday, our Community Outreach Team Nathan and Hattie visited St Anne’s Primary School in Ormskirk to help the Eco Club prepare their very own campaign about why textile recycling matters to them.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness ahead of another textile collection, encouraging pupils, families and the wider school community to get involved.

Turning Ideas into Action

During the session, pupils took part in fun activities, working together to brainstorm ideas and design their own T-shirts to wear during the assembly. They even came up with the brilliant idea of dressing one pupil up as a recycling mascot!

We plan to revisit the school to see how their ideas have developed and the impact of their campaign, and we can’t wait to see the progress they make. We’re also looking forward to delivering the assembly and helping bring their ideas to life.

Want to get involved?

St Annes is part of our Recycle4Schools scheme, where arranging a textile collection can give unwanted clothing a second life and raise funds for the school, and take part in engaging educational activities like this one.

If you’d like your school to get involved, simply visit the Recycle4Schools website and complete the sign-up form to get started.
